Yoga is a driving force behind who I am and my continued path of self-study. Yoga teaches important lessons that can be applied to relationships, stress, business and most importantly, life in general. My professional work experience continues to help me become a better yoga student and teacher. I often say I'm good at teaching people to stand on their head, both literally and figuratively.
I began my practice back in 2000 at the ONE yoga studio in Uptown, with Amy Patee. I credit Amy and her playful spirit for igniting my passion for yoga and all it has to offer. However, it wasn’t until I found CorePower, a daily (vs weekly) practice and the challenge of a heated room nine years later, I was able to unveil the many benefits of the practice on a physical, spiritual and emotional level.
With a regular practice I have cultivated more strength than I ever thought possible both inside and out helping me approach daily life stresses with grace and humility.
I am inspired by the endless journey of self-discovery yoga provides by weaving together an environment allowing students to constantly question the inner workings of their mind and body. In my classes I invite and empower students to create possibility in and all around them.
I firmly believe the yoga philosophy stretches far beyond the mat and I encourage my students to reach outside the physical benefits of the practice and be knowledge seekers on the journey to appreciate and reveal their truest and best self.
